ALLSORTS ©Kath Bee 2011 INTRO: The world only works ‘cos it’s made up of all sorts CHORUS Everybody’s good at something and it doesn’t matter what it is It could be Maths, or climbing a wall, it could be kicking a rugby ball It doesn’t really matter what it is at all, cos everybody’s good at something I’m not one of the best at any kind of sport But I’ll have fun even though I know I’m not exactly the sporty sort There’s something I do best in a classroom situation Subtraction, addition and yep, you guessed it! I’m a wiz at multiplication CHORUS At reading and writing time I often finish last But it doesn’t worry me because I know I’m not very fast I’ll take my time and finish it with pride and determination Then I’ll get onto what I REALLY love doing! My own artistic creation BRIDGE You can do this, I can do that, she can do this, he can do that I can get better if I practice this, you can get better if you practice that The world only works cos it’s made up of all sorts CHORUS I haven’t quite got the knack of buttons and shoelaces My fingers get caught up and I make lots of funny faces There’s something I do best without any hesitation At making people laugh and cheering people up I’ve got a great reputation!

I Can’t See in Front of Me ©Kath Bee 2010 The sun’s gone down The stars are out It’s getting dark And I can’t see in front of me I can’t see in front of me The moon is up Although it’s bright It’s not enough To light the way in front of me I can’t see in front of me CHORUS Is there anything there, that’s not there in the light of day? Is there anything different about it at all? (I can’t see in front of me) The light’s gone out The room is dark The curtain’s pulled And I can’t see in front of me I can’t see in front of me And what’s that thing? And what’s that there? And what’s that shape? I can’t see it properly I can’t see in front of me CHORUS BRIDGE Click on the torch Turn on the light Everything’s the same but it’s out of sight Talk to myself saying Everything will be alright INSTRUMENTAL BREAK REPEAT V1

Breakfast Time ©Kath Bee 2010 CHORUS What time is it? It’s breakfast time at last You’ve slept for hours without any food, it’s time to break the fast What time is it? It’s time to give your tum a treat It’s breakfast time (yipee!!) And breakfast can’t be beat! Don’t kiss it, don’t ‘diss’ it, don’t sleep too long or you’ll miss it Don’t leave it, I won’t believe it, if you tell me you’re not hungry, You’ve just gone 8 hours without anything in your tummy (don’t be ridiculous, of COURSE you’re hungry!) CHORUS Don’t tip it, don’t skip it, don’t play with it so long that you whip it Don’t leave it, I won’t believe it, if you tell me you’re not hungry, You’ve just gone 8 hours without anything in your tummy (don’t be ridiculous, of COURSE you’re hungry!) RAP – BRIDGE Make yourself some cereal, fruit juice or porridge and toast Pancakes with lemon and sugar is what I like the most Peaches and bacon, not together, stew some apple or prunes Things you eat with knives and forks or things you eat with teaspoons Whiz up bananas and milk for a cool smoothie Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or even a blueberry Whatever you can find in the cupboard to eat will do But make sure that it’s healthy, nutritious and good for you And while your on it, tell your parents to get their act together too cos coffee doesn’t cut it! CHORUS It’s breakfast time and breakfast can’t be beat x2

YOU’VE GOT FOOD ON YA FACE You’ve got food on ya face Left over spaghetti, a wobbly bit of jelly, has any gone into ya belly? You’ve got food on ya face Tomato sauce and custard, avocado and mustard You’re whole look’s been adjusted You’ve got food on ya face Melted chocolate and bacon, the biscuits you’ve been bakin’ The milkshake you’ve been shakin’ You’ve got food on ya face CHORUS It doesn’t really matter long as some of it’s getting in So give us a wink through the splatter and show us you’re cheekiest grin We’ll clean it all up later, keep eating, that’s the trick! And if you’ve got a really long tongue, you could give it a li-ick Cos you’ve got food on ya face Banana peach and plum stains, soup and a couple of bread grains Pudding, entre and mains You’ve got food on ya face The dip your chips were dipped in, some easy peel mandarin And what’s that splodge on your chin? You’ve got food on ya face BRIDGE A kiwifruit pip on your upper lip, Some yoghurt – Greek – on you’re right cheek And I don’t know how, but there’s something crusty in your eyebrow And what’s THAT? Brie? In dad’s goatee…… Cos you’ve got food on ya face INSTRUMENTAL Cos you’ve got food on ya face Cheese that has been grated, scones that have been dated Everything previously plated You’ve got food on ya face CHORUS

You Can’t Eat it on Toast ©Kath Bee 2010 As I was driving down the road late one night I saw something in front of me that gave me a bit of a fright Well it was sort of kind of furry and it was sort of kind of red And as I got closer I realised, it was sort of kind of dead CHORUS It was Roadkill, it’s really not my thing But somebody asked and so I’ve written a song that you can sing about (With bits hanging out makes me wanna shout “eeew this is disgusting!”) Road kill, you can’t eat it on toast I have to admit I don’t like it a bit It’s really rather gross Well possums are a nuisance, or so they say So don’t feel bad if you hit a few to or from your holiday But I’ve only ever hit one, in all my driving years Where do you think I got that lovely scarf that I wear? From CHORUS Well a lot of hedgehogs seem to avoid meeting their squishy end Cos ya miss them with the front wheels as ya go around the bend And ya miss them with the back and they walk off “tiddley-pom” But ya shoulders go up and ya make a face as ya wait for the ”ba-boom” of CHORUS BRIDGE Bouncy rabbits, the odd mouse, a seagull that once flew If this song’s offending or making you sick Perhaps it’s not for you oo scooby do doo Well I always feel really sad when someone’s hit a hawk Or a beautiful Pukeko or a great big Mollymawk But the driver can’t avoid it, and he wishes it was a dream With eyes on the road and hands on the wheel All he can do is scream AAARRGGGHHHH….

But I’m not going to cry We get warm and dry Time for something to eat Salad sandwiches sweet Ice cream for a treat It’s time to eat Build a castle of sand Everyone lends a hand Be careful, don’t stand On our castle of sand Collect feathers and stones And shells and bones And a few unknowns Collect feathers and stones We don’t want to go The sun’s getting low Pack up really slow We don’t want to go We went to the beach We took a towel each Did not eat a peach! We went to the beach

What’s up ahead or just around the corner It’s a new territory to explore Who’s that, who’s up ahead or just around the corner It’s a face that you’ve never seen before Who’s that, who’s up ahead or just around the corner It’s a personality you can explore PRE-CHORUS It’s always hard (don’t feel alone) Stepping out of your comfort zone It’s always tough (don’t get too stressed) It’s not like you have to pass a test CHORUS Unfamiliar places Unfamiliar faces It’s what makes our world more interesting and opens up our minds Unfamiliar places Unfamiliar faces It broadens our horizons, you don’t know who or what you’ll find What’s that, what’s up ahead or just around the corner An activity you’ve never ever tried What’s that, what’s up ahead or just around the corner It’s a skill that you haven’t yet acquired PRE-CHORUS CHORUS x2

In BeTween 02:32
In Be Tween ©Kath Bee 2010 It’s a time when I can be responsible And it’s a time when I can be dependable And it’s a time when I can be reliable But I feel like I’m in between Well it’s an age where independence comes along And it’s an age where I should know what’s right from wrong And it’s an age where I can feel proud and strong But it feels like I’m in between CHORUS In between – being a kid and being a teen In between – who I am and who I’ve been In between – what I’ll see and what I’ve seen Cos it feels like I’m in between Well it’s the years when my opinions start to show And when I learn much more than I already know And some of us grow fast and some of us grow slow Cos all of us are in between BRIDGE The best thing about this stage Is choosing to be either age I don’t want to grow up too fast But I don’t want to live in the past So if I feel like being a kid, I WILL! And if I need to be more mature, then I can do that, and that’s for sure CHORUS Well my emotions are confusing me And my body is changing rapidly And all of a sudden my parents are soooo silly DER! How did that happen overnight? They used to be soooo cool!!! CHORUS

Christmas Holiday Time ©Kath Bee 2001 Comes in December each year without a doubt It’s like the weekend, something to sing about Our work is over; it’s time for chilling out It’s Christmas holiday time Goodbye to classrooms, goodbye to teachers too Hello to sunshine, goodbye to feeling blue Weeks of freedom from ringing bells all day Because it’s Christmas holiday time Making toast and taking it straight back to bed Reading magazines or books we’ve never read We’re on holiday We’ve read the whiteboard too many times this year The words “Be quiet” are ringing in our ears We’ve written stories, multiplication too And now it’s Christmas holiday time BRIDGE We could play cricket on my lawn We could play spotlight until dawn We could go on an expedition We could have a burping competition There’s no end to what we could do I could stay at yours or you could stay at mine In our sleeping bags giggling all the time Or we might go away with our families Because it’s Christmas holiday time Swimming at the beach or playing at the park Watching movies staying up way after dark We’re on holiday And when it’s over, we’ll start it all again ‘cos we’ve had time to recharge our brain New class and teacher to keep us occupied Until next Christmas holiday time x3
