Many New Zealanders suffer from the 'Tall Poppy Syndrome', where standing out from the crowd is seen as showing off and therefore children often feel better when they don't stand out. Our NZ 'humour' tends to put others down, rather than lift them up. This song supports resources for schools and is sung in English and Te Reo Māori. It's an inspiring song for children of all ages. The messages are clear - we have value, others matter and we succeed together.
